This is another of the Virage based conversions from Works Service unveiled
in early 1994. During 1993, Works Service took an ex-engineering Virage,
lengthened the wheelbase by 12 inches then added a coachbuilt 4 door
body. Even before it was finished, a significant order was taken for
eight more examples, six with the standard extra 12 inches and two
with a huge 18 inch stretch. All examples including this RHD Hunter
Green prototype had the 6.3 engine from new. These were not cheap cars
costing around a quarter of a million pounds each. I also believe that
there has been at least on conversion on a Virage to Lagonda 4 door
saloon specification
Sadly I have never
officially seen any of these special
cars and
so I have been allowed to use AML press pictures on this page. |
