Aston Martin V8 Shooting Brake (1997-1999)

unknown auction catalogue
To the best of my knowledge, one (or more likely two similar) Virage / V8 Coupes were rebuilt by Works Service as a three door Shooting Brake with front and rear lights from the Vantage/V8 coupe. I saw one car twice during it's construction the late 1990's during visits to AML Works Service and it also appeared briefly in an episode of Top Gear in 1999. The left hand drive Shooting Brake was finished in a metallic British Racing Green with a green interior although I don't believe it was ever featured in any AML official literature. It may have subsequently been registered in France and then sold at auction in Paris, although I'm not totally sure about this. An attractive car indeed but the rear lights were 'stepped' and perhaps the least attractive feature of the car.

A visitor to this site has now told me that the car was seen on sale at Techno Classica 2000 in Essen Germany for about 1.5 million German Marks. I then saw the car back at Works Service in the Summer of 2006. Since it was a customer car, I was not able to take photographs.
