The Weber e.f.i. Volante was introduced at the New York Show in January 1986 alongside the similarly enhanced V8 saloon. The major change was the fitting of electronically controlled Weber fuel injection giving a power output of 305 bhp. With the reduced height of the engine, the bonnet no longer needed the bulge and thus became flat. All of the Weber e.f.i. cars had the attractive BBS cross spoke wheels although some also have the Ronals from the Vantage.. Before the final withdrawal of the V8 in late 1989, 217 examples of the e.f.i. Volante had been produced.

On the previous page, I have mentioned the US rubber bumpers. With these close ups of perhaps the only rubber bumpered car in the UK, you can perhaps see why it's not such a straightforward job to change them to the chrome type
