Aston Martin AMR2
(1989 - 1990)

The AMR2 was to be a significant evolution of the AMR1, still based on the AMR1 body tub and powered by the version 2 V8 6.3 litre 740bhp engine. The most significant change was to the body - better aerodynamics which would have allowed a maximum speed of 230 mph. The car was well under development and would have run by April 1990, but as previously mentioned, Protech was sadly closed in February 1990 and the car was never completed. This picture shows the wind tunnel model of AMR2 and was taken with the kind permission of Richard Williams, the then Managing Director/Team Manager of Protech.
