Lance Prideaux-Brune, London distributor for Aston Martin (through Winter Garden Garages), specially commissioned E Bertelli to produce special drophead coupe bodywork for a Mark II long chassis. This car (BGF 560), shown above in cream, was so attractive that another six 'replicas' were also produced for other customers. These cars were never featured in any Aston Martin literature and were only available through Winter Garden Garages at a price of £710. Nowadays, Astons with spec unique to dealers are still built (DB7 Stratstone, Jubilee, Beverly Hills, Keswick) but only differ from standard production cars by colour/trim and options fitted. |
