Aston Martin International (1929 - 1931)
(First Series 1½ litre, 2 seater, 3 seater, 2/4 seater, saloon, tourer)

The International was a new model introduced at the 1929 London Motor Show and was based on the 1928 Team cars, the first in the LM series. It featured an underslung chassis to give the car a low and sporty look for the day and a dry-sump version of the 1½ engine. The cycle wings, which were attached to the brake backing plates, turned with the steering wheels.

This extremely pretty International 2/4 seater ( the most popular bodywork) was photographed at the AMOC Spring concours at Stonor Park in 2000.

This famous 1929 International was initially owned by A.C. Bertelli but became the first Aston Martin owned and raced Morris 'Mort' Goodall, the founder of the AMOC. It features a very rare and attractive 3 seater bodywork.

intarnational tourer The long chassis cars are more scarce since the enthusiasts of the day opted for the more sporting 2/4 seaters. This is an example of a tourer that participated in the 1999 Le Mans Parade des Pilots.
