The Spa Special is an example of the 2 litre Speed Model, converted in 1949 to sports specification. In this form, with St. John Horsfall, driving single handed, it achieved a notable 4th place in the 1949 Spa 24 hour race (and thus is now known as the Spa Special). |

The mock-Tudor offices of Aston Martin situated on the 'sunny side' of Tickford Street in Newport Pagnell. I believe that this building is now Grade II listed as are other parts of the factory. |

Series |
You may notice that as you tour this site, certain models are sub divided into several series (DB4, V8 in particular). These are not official factory designations but were derived by the AMOC to make life easier in identifying various improvements to the cars. | |

Swan Wing Doors |
The doors of the DB9 open upwards at an angle of 12 degrees. These allow improved access to the cabin and may also self close (just like my 2CV!) | |
