Aston Martin DBR9 Phoenix Racing (Chassis 104) (2006)

This is chassis 104 seen during the opening round of the 2006 FIA GT series at Silverstone. in early May. In this, it's very first outing, the car achieved a very impressive 3rd place in qualifying and 6th overall. Later in the season, the car received a slightly more colourful paint job and narrowly missed out on the 24 hour race at Spa, ending in 2nd place. But Phoenix ended the season in the last race of the series in Dubai with a 1st place.

By 2008, the car has been put up for sale for 550,000 Euros. It was the final lot in the AM/Bonhams auction in May 2008 but at that time it failed to sell. The team has apparently moved onto the cheaper Corvette GT1 racecar.
