Sunday Morning I only got 5 hours sleep and was up at 0900 on the Sunday morning and fumbled for my radio to hear Radio Le Mans, and to hear where the Astons were still doing very well indeed. 007 was 4th overall and 1st in class, 009 7th overall and 3rd in class whilst Team Modena 62 was 9th overall and 5th in class. |

| Everything was going so well but with just three hours to go, car 009, still 1st in class, had a failing clutch which had to be replaced in a lengthy pit stop. The drivers nursed 009 home to 10th overall and 5th in class. 007 was far more fortunate and ran on to the end faultlessly to achieve 6th overall and 2nd in class. Car 62 was just held off the podium by a privately entered Corvette and was thus 9th overall and 4th in GT. | ||
