The second nights qualifying was completely dry which allowed al drivers to improve their times. Best improved and looking very impressive is the number 10 Lola-Aston Martin of Charouz Racing System which is 6th overall on the grid, the fastest petrol powered car with the honour of splitting the three diesel Audis. Fastest time set by Tomas Enge with a time of 3:25.158. By comparison, the pole sitting Peugeot best was 3:18.513.

In GT1, the works Gulf liveried DBR9's sit 4th and 5th in class. 009's best time set by Antonio Garcia with 3:48.994 is less than half a second slower that the pole sitting Corvette. 59 Car, team Modena will start 8th in class and car 53, the Vitaphone DBR9 will start 9th.
